Cosmic Butter is what I like to call a Sci-Fi Funk band . The music pays homage to the originators of funk and sci -fi films of the 1970s and 80s. People like James Brown, Sun Ra, Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament Funkadelic, Zapp and Prince are some of our influences. We enjoy things that groove and get nasty.
